photo{s} a day, thirty: the case of the missing iPhone.
THE CASE OF THE MISSING IPHONE 5
THE FACTS: Dusty's iPhone 5 mysteriously disappeared on or around Friday evening/Saturday morning. His driver's license and debit card are with said iPhone.
LAST KNOWN LOCATION: The now missing iPhone was completely dead. Since our chargers mysteriously float around from room to room and there was no charger to be found in our room, Dusty left his iPhone 5 charging in Silas and Eli's room.
EVIDENCE: There is no trace of the phone, the phone did not get enough of a charge to make use of the "find my iPhone" app, and the only thing that remains is an empty charger. So, whoever took the phone, took it shortly after it was plugged into the charger.
THE REWARD: Ten Dollars will be given as a reward to whoever finds the missing iPhone 5.
THE SUSPECTS: With five persons living in our house, three have been ruled out from any involvement. That would include Dusty, Silas and me. Dusty and I have thoroughly searched every inch of the house and any and all locations we would have placed it {if we HAD mindlessly picked it up} have been found empty. Besides the fact that we know we didn't see it or take it. Silas, our child that has the greatest memory in the history of the world, has promised that he did not take it and had no part in it. Knowing Silas, we BELIEVE him and dismiss him from any involvement.
So that leaves the following: Eli or Jeremiah.
The question of the day {rather, the past three days} is which one took the iPhone OR, are they in on it together? Let's take an individual look at each person of interest.
Unlike our Type A, crazy memory, fact-orientated, oldest child, our middle child is... well, oblivious. God bless him. He is the sweetest, most sincere, most la la land child you'll ever meet. We LOVE him. He is so in his own little world, that he is kinda clueless - in the best way. He leaves things wherever he drops them. If I tell him to go do something, he'll get distracted by ten zillion other things along the way. He has the best of intentions, he just gets distracted. He is known to use our devices {without remembering to ask}, unplug things that are charging, and, like I said, set things down wherever he is, whenever he is done. The idea that he unplugged daddy's phone, used it, and set it somewhere {he also likes to hide things... I mean, "keep things in safe places", so they don't get lost... or stolen}{he is helpful like that}{he means the best}, is not that far out there. He is a likely suspect.
Baby bandit takes anything and everything. Baby bandit has a love of all things electronic and anything with a cord. Baby bandit also loves to put things in hiding spots as well. He will get into any drawer or cabinet available. Since "Jeremiah proofing" all the cabinets, he has discovered the clothes drawers {in particular the underwear drawer} and he loves pulling everything out, one by one. He may look innocent enough, but DO NOT BE FOOLED -- he is sneaky. He may be the prime suspect...
The jury is still out on who the culprit is, BUT, mind you, there is a generous reward for anyone that finds said iPhone 5. The first to find the missing {or stolen} phone will receive a whopping ten dollar reward.
Stay tuned for any new information, evidence, or conclusions to this case. We hope to have it solved soon.

Eli, a.k.a "The Green Bandit"

Sheriff Silas is on the look out for any suspicious characters or behavior around these here parts. He gets tired of people taking his charger and his own iPad being misplaced.
You better believe, he is on the look out and ready to crack down on the iPhone troubles in the Sniff residence.
