photo{s} a day, fifty two: Mr. Independent

My baby becomes less of a baby everyday.  He wants to do everything by himself these days.  It's that stage where he is discovering all the many new and fun things he can do.  It's fascinating to watch, really.  I love seeing his motor skills develop as he learns to use his fingers to feed himself, or use a spoon to scoop his food and shovel it into his mouth.  Not so fascinating to watch an adult do, but to literally watch a child grow before your very eyes is amazing.

Every new word, every new movement he makes is thrilling.  A few of my favorites as of late are when he's playing peek-a-boo, covers his face and says "da!", which is supposedly "boo!".  Or, when he takes that little pointer finger and distinctly points at what he wants.  Or, the way he always curls his big toes up.  Or how he is learning to copy things.  Simply astounding!

I'm short on time today, so this is it.  Here's my photos today of baby J.

he's pointing at his yogurt.  and, notice the toes!
he was SO filthy after dinner, he needed a bath.  He loves to sit by the faucet and feel the water pouring out.
