photo a day, four. {do not fear}

"So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand."

How many times have I read this verse?  Countless.  What stands out to me in this moment?  Do not fear.  There's that word again.  Fear.  God keeps reminding me and reminding that He is with me. {see here, regarding my word for this year}  He is with me wherever I go, in every circumstance.  In moments of weakness when I allow the fear to seep in, it's easy to forget this promise.  God, help me to rest in You - in Your strength, in Your hand.  Help me to know that You are with me.  I do not have to go it alone.

It's Sunday night and we are gearing up for the week.  In this season of change, one of my biggest "fears" has been not being "with" my kids.  I say with, because I have always worked at their school and literally have never been away from them.  In a sense, this gave me some sort of feeling of control.  I am right there if they need anything.  Being a mom, my mind can naturally go to worst case scenario and I can imagine a million different things of what could go wrong.  I have really had to let go and trust that God's got this.  He has me, He has them, and we are all in His hand.  I have had to rely on His strength, because this is certainly a weakness of mine.  But I do feel that God is slowly chipping away at all the unspoken fears that I hold onto.
