a sick little boy.

Baby J has lost it.  Literally.  LOST IT.

He's gone bonkers.  Bananas.  Loco.

Poor buddy has been sick the past two days.  I mentioned the other day that he woke up from his nap and felt warm.  Upon taking his temperature, I confirmed my suspiciouns that he did indeed have a fever - 102.8 degrees, to be exact.  Not super low, but not too crazy high either.  He seemed okay, so I figured we'd just play it by ear.  That was Tuesday.

Yesterday, he was cranky in the morning, but after giving him some medicine, he was functional.  After waking up from his nap in the afternoon, he was again running a temperature of 103+.

Last night, I was up with him all night long.  He was burning hot to the point that it was making me nervous.  This morning, I decided it was time to take him in just to make sure his ears were fine.  I had someone pick the boys up for school and headed to the pediatrician with little man.  There were no outward signs of an infection, so he told me to just keep an eye on it.  In the mean time, we are both functioning on no sleep and he is beside himself.

He's delirious, perhaps.  He's throwing himself around.  He's screaming for daddy.  He's screaming for Mickey Mouse.  He's screaming for daddy's car keys - "Daddy CAH keeeeeeeey".  He wanted oatmeal, so I made him oatmeal.  "OATMOE", he screamed, the entire sixty seconds it took to heat up an instant pack in the microwave.  Once I finally got it semi cool enough to eat, I set it in front of him.  He picked up the bowl and put it on the counter.  "Nooooo oatmoe!!"  Then screamed, "OATMOE!!"  After going back and forth a few minutes, he finally decided he did want it.  I tried to help feed him.  He didn't want my help.  Then, he got frustrated because he couldn't do it.  So he let me give him a couple of bites.  Then, he screamed because his shirt had oatmoe on it, "OH NO!".  He started yanking at his shirt to get it off.  I took his shirt off and he screamed for his shirt.  He wanted juice, but didn't want juice.  He wanted out of his high chair, then he didn't want out.  Now he's screaming, "BYE BYE!!"  Apparently he wants to go somewhere.

Just, wow.  I'm not sure what to do at this point.  Poor little guy.  He feels so bad, he doesn't know what to do with himself.  I'm praying he can get some rest tonight.  And, for my sanity.

Happy Thursday, friends!

I mean, it's sad.  But also a little humorous?   You can see in his eyes he's sick.
