a week {rather, 5 days} with Mamaw
So, it's been an exciting week. My mom came to town, we had our Fall Festival at school {which thrilled the boys}, there was lots of shopping {thanks, Mom!} {oh yeah - AND Dad} and we just had an overall great visit. Nevertheless, saying "goodbye" always leaves me in quite the sad state. {boo!}
I'm left in a funk for at least a day. The worst is coming home to an "empty" house. But, I must stay positive and grateful to have the opportunity to have such great visits. Also, thankful that my parents invest soo much time with our family, even living so far away.
That being said, here's our week in review {in photos}!
Okay, okay hold up a minute. I got all excited because I just had the thought to search the App Store for a blogger app. Much to my satisfaction, I found one! The beauty of this is I can blog from my phone -- from anywhere! {Hurray!} Seeing that it's 8:30 p.m. {yes, I'm old, a mom and exhausted} and I don't want to walk my lazy self downstairs again for the laptop, I THOUGHT this would work perfectly! Also, I figured this would save myself the hassle of connecting my phone to said laptop to retrieve photos - this just had to be easier! Right?
Much to my dismay, I just realized the photos don't upload in order, I cannot write a caption underneath, AND there's no italics {it's hard for me to feel adequately understood WITHOUT italics! Perhaps I could just YELL!}
Sooo, it's not what I THOUGHT, yet better than nothin'!
So I'll sum up the photos briefly.
1.) my mom at the pumpkin patch with the cutest/best pumpkin there!
2.) the boys always sucker my mom for toys. Si has wanted battleship for awhile. He got his wish, obviously!
3.) punkin head
4.) at the patch.
5.) our very first jack-o-lantern. The boys insisted it be scary!
6.) cuteness watching football while eating his fist.
7.) cheeks. lips. eyelashes. perfection.
8.) baby boy in his yellow "gown". Sory bud- thought I should use it since it still had tags ;)
9.) Fall Festival. The Hulk and a nerd. Eli said I couldn't fool him - he could still recognize me!!
10.) In their Halloween get ups!
11.) Candy tempting me in the curriculum room today while feeding the babe.
12.) Sweet Si with the biggest blue eyes ever.
13.) Me and the babe rockin' the colored jeans today.
14.) J LOVED Mamaw
15.) Who....me?
16.) Eli's masterpiece {I was a little down this afternoon so figured cupcakes could help?}
17.) The airport.
18.) Found his thumb again.
19.) Wanting desperately to sit up!
20.) Eating Mamaw's shoulder
21.) Holding my baby. Perspective. This can cure any bad day!
22.) When Mamaw surprised Silas at lunch. He had NO idea WHEN she was coming.
23.) A nap- a luxury to be had only when your mom is in town.
Whew!! Some things I just learned-
1.) Maybe it'd WOULD have been faster to type this on a keyboard than my phone.
2.) The story would've made a lot more sense with the photos in order and captions directly underneath.
3.) If for some reason they do upload correctly - have fun matching the captions with the photos ;)
4.) My finger is tired! Sooo, goodnight!

Another week of precious memories for me.
ReplyDeleteEasiest way to use blogger and pictures is to upload the pics into blogger from your phone and then do any typing/rearranging of pics on your computer. Little trick I learned from Aly:)
ReplyDeleteyes, I did think of this later. but alas, still did not want to go get the laptop. good to know for future reference ;)
