Last week I had my time with Silas and this week I had a day with my sweet Eli. Each class goes on a different field trip {but it stays the same with each grade}, so the students have something new to look forward to. The first graders go to Seaworld and even know we have been a million times, that didn't stop Eli and me from having a blast.
We've been lucking out with cooler weather on field trip days! It was in the 60's all day, so not too hot or cold. In a little over three hours we saw three shows, explored several exhibits, and rode two different rides four times each {without having to stand back in line}. Boy did we luck out! Eli was in ride heaven. It's funny because we were debating whether or not we had time for the last ride and I decided that we did - and it would be okay if we were a few minutes late picking up Silas and JJ. So we walked right on and rode this ride together for the first time... and then again... and again... and again. They just kept asking if we wanted to stay on since no one was in line. Let's say we were cracking up by the fourth time.
Although we left fifteen minutes past what we had planned, we got back to school right when the bell rang. Perfect timing. I had fun spoiling Eli for the day, letting him pick out a souvenir and even letting him eat almost an entire bag of cotton candy by himself... hey, let 'em live a little! Eli is so easy going and such a little people pleaser. It's the cutest. He is always thinking of others. I love how when I ask him, "what sounds fun to you?" that his first thought is, "well, what would YOU like to do?" And anything I suggest, he enthusiastically {and genuinely} replies, "that sounds like a great plan!" Granted, I turn most everything back on him, allowing him the opportunity to choose what he wants. He is such a self-less little guy, has the sweetest manners, and is just all together lovable. I love how all three of our boys are so uniquely different, yet we love them all the same. I couldn't even think to wish that one were more like the other because they are all so special and just so beautifully them. Even as I sit here now with all three wrestling, being crazy loud, and not nearing exhaustion, my heart is full.

Eli's sweet teacher. Not sure what we are gonna do without her next year. He adores her! |

He loves these cleaner fish. Yes, they eat the dead skin off your hands. Gross, but he just thinks it tickles! |
