you know you're pregnant when...

I know, I know - how many blogs can be about pregnancy, right?  I guess when you're pregnant for 9 months, it kind of consumes a lot of your thoughts and interrupts your normal day to day activities.  Sometimes you feel crazy.  Often you feel emotional.  All the time you feel like you have no control over what's happening with your body.  Apart from the obvious crazy hormonal surge, I laugh thinking about all the things that change when you're pregnant.  Hence, the blog.  So -- here goes...

You know you're pregnant when...

* you know the daily maximum dosage of Tums and you start the day by pouring half a bottle down your throat.

* you look at your kids and it makes you cry simply because you love them so much you can't handle it.

* you have sudden, intense cravings for something random - like lime sherbet, an icee or french fries from Burger King.

* you're starving all the time, but most of the time nothing sounds good.

* your shoes no longer fit.  {I actually read that your feet may go up half a shoe size or more}

* by the end of the day you feel like you're clothes are cutting off your circulation and your socks leave indentions in your legs for hours {seriously - hours.}

* you can't make it through an episode of Felicity without crying -- okay, sobbing.

* the majority of thoughts that cross your mind throughout the day regard either food or sleep.

* you make dinner for your family and make something entirely different for yourself.

* snacking at 9:00 at night is completely normal.

* you walk upstairs 5 times with the intent to do something but can't quite remember exactly what by the time you get up there... again.

* suddenly you have a huge zit on the end of your nose and want to hibernate until it's gone.  the zit makes you want to cry and ruins your day.

* you're motherly instinct goes into overdrive and suddenly you're carrying your 3 {almost 4 year old} "baby" everywhere and hand feeding your pet tortoises because you haven't seen them eat in awhile and want to make sure they're getting enough to eat.

* when everyone in the world continually reminds you how large you are and how you look like you're having the baby much sooner than your due date.

* you're counting down the days until you can do your Insanity/Asylum workouts again.

* when you go to the bathroom 5 times before you even leave your house in the morning {in an hour and a half span}  -- who could even count how many times throughout an entire day?

* when you have to try on 5 different outfits before you find something that actually fits.

* when you're sitting on the couch and practically jump across the room because you're bladder has suddenly been kicked so hard it literally makes you jump.

* when you get asked, "how are you feeling" 100 times every. single. day.

* when you start munching on your kid's snacks with them and they politely ask you to "stop eating their snack."

* when your legs double in size from morning to evening {at least it seems that way}

* when you constantly re-count how many weeks until you're due, just in case you may have miscalculated and were a little further along.

* when you wake up in the morning, the first thing you're thinking is "when can I go back to bed?"

* when your co-worker proclaims, "Woah, girl.  You eat. a. lot!"

okay, so is that enough, because I could keep going ;) I'm sure I'll have more to add to the list later!
