Halloween at Disneyland

the face of one happy boy.

Disneyland.  Halloween.  Space Mountain Ghost Galaxy.

We all know the Sniff's are at Disneyland as often as possible.  However, life has been busy lately so it's been a few weeks.  Today's adventure began a couple weeks ago while listening to the radio on the way to work.  There was a commercial spot advertising Halloween at Disneyland.  Within 5 seconds, Silas was captivated.  He is obsessed with Halloween {I cannot go to the "red store" without browsing the Halloween stuff every. single. time.}  Disneyland, of course, is his favorite place.  Space Mountain is his favorite ride.  Put those 3 things together and there was no way out of going!

So, this is the first year Disneyland has redone Space Mountain for Halloween.  I must say, it was pretty cool.  Both Silas and Eli loved it!  It was the first ride we rode and maybe, just maybe, the trip would have been worth it just for that.

Next, we rode Star Tours and Silas was the Agent spy -- again!  Either he's super cute or just really lucky.  Made his day.
Then, Silas decided he finally wanted to try the Jedi training.  We always walk past it, and Silas has been too intimidated to try "Jedi school".  Today was the day he mustered up the courage.  We got there 30 minutes early and saved one of the first spots in the front.  I told Silas, "when they ask who wants to be a Jedi, go crazy.  Jump up and down and wave your arms."  When the time came he followed my instructions perfectly and proclaimed, "May I please be a Jedi?  May I please be a Jedi?"  It must have been the polite manners, because he was one of the first little guys picked.  Eli wasn't the slightest bit interested.

He got his Jedi robe, light saber and began his training.  He was beaming.  I mean - beyond thrilled.  After training, each child got a chance to fight Darth Vader.  Silas demolished him ;)  Oh, and then he got a diploma for graduating Jedi School.  Now, he is Master Jedi Silas.  Pretty cool stuff right there.

proud boy.

he was *so* happy.

my favorite.

his Jedi diploma

We also rode Haunted Mansion for the first time, which was a big hit.  Why are my kids so obsessed with Halloween and all things scary?  Boys.

We finished our trip with our traditional McDonald's stop and the boys were happy as pie.  We. love. Disney.
