My sweet Eli Jackson - I could never find enough words to adequately express just how special you are. You are one of a kind, and that's the absolute truth. You care for others in a way I can't really describe. You have a heart of gold. Your capacity to love, to feel, to put others before yourself just blows me away. Dad and I knew very early on that there was no one else quite like you. We often smile, shake our heads and say, "there's no one like Eli Jackson." We don't even have to verbalize it anymore... we can just look at each other and know exactly what we mean.
You are so funny without even trying, you always want everyone else to be happy, and you are so easy going - the big E-asy! You rarely ask for anything and honestly I think you could live off of hugs. We called you our love bug from the beginning and that's still truer than true today. You give the best huggies, the sweetest snuggles, and say "I love you" about a million times a day. Your smile lights up the room. You have such an innocence about you. You have a quieter nature and sometimes it takes you a little while to open up... to be comfortable. But once someone has your trust and your heart, you are the most loyal person they'd ever meet.
This year, you accepted Christ as your Savior and the change is so clearly evident. You have a new spark about you and you cannot wait to soon be baptized - in June. Dad and I could not be happier about this decision and we know God has HUGE things in store for you, sweet boy!
You want to be a cook or a photographer {as of now}. You LOVE to play games and spend time with the family. If we were to ask you anything you wanted to do, that would most likely be it! Your favorite color is blue {changing from green} and your absolute favorite food in all the world is corn. You could probably eat 10 ears... no joke. You love basketball. You are an amazing reader, with exceptional comprehension and your favorite subject is math. Math! You absolutely adore it. You love doing problems in your head or extra math problems for fun. You're super smart and excelled in school this year. We have seen you grow leaps and bounds and we could not be happier with how hard you have worked. You are so diligent and always choose to do the right thing.
If there's one thing I want you to know, it's this - You were perfectly created by God, to be Eli Jackson. He created you with the amazing capacity to love in a way that most people don't. Focus on Him. Let him guide your life, and lean into Him with all your heart. I 100% believe that God has a very special plan for YOU! We love you more than we could ever say. Always and forever, no matter what. To the moon and back. To infinity and beyond.
