I'm sitting here on the floor with my laptop gearing up for a blog, all the while watching my 11 month old lay on my bed playing. When I glance at him and smile, his entire face lights up. That's the best.
When I pick my kids up from school and they greet me as if they haven't seen me in a month, that's the best. When my children say, "I love you" or "Mom, you're so beautiful", that's the best.
There is nothing in this world like being a mom. It's the best gift, the greatest privilege and the biggest honor. I could write a book on why being a mom is the greatest thing in the entire world. I could tell you a million reasons why I love this job, even though it's sometimes exhausting and difficult. But, there are moments to be had, bellies to be fed and giggles to be heard. In this moment, I'll skip the blog and just say, Happy Mother's Day to all the mommies out there, especially my own. Mom, I love you. I appreciate you and I am thankful for you. Thanks for being a good example for me and also for being the best Mamaw my kids could ask for.
