birthday weekend at disneyland.

It was quite the birthday weekend.  For Christmas, Dusty's grandparents got the whole family a trip to Disneyland and it so happened to be the weekend of my birthday.  We stayed in the Grand California Hotel and Spa and boy was that nice!  The hotel walks right into California Adventure {one of the two Disneyland parks, if you're not familiar with Disneyland}, so the boys thought not having to walk was amazing.  Basically, it was like "living at Disneyland", or so Eli thought.

We headed up Friday afternoon and stayed through Sunday afternoon.  Of course, we do Disney all the time, but this was quite a different experience.  The hotel was beautiful and relaxing.  We enjoyed not having to park and ride the tram and/or walk a mile to the park from our hotel.  Also, when you stay at one of the Disney hotels, you get Magic Hour, where you're able to enter the park an hour earlier than the opening time.  This allows you to get lots of stuff done early on, without waiting in long lines.  You better believe we take advantage of this!

We had a fantastic weekend with our family and are so blessed to enjoy this experience together.  Here's some photos from our trip, in no particular order ;)
This is what happens when the baby needs a nap and the boys still want to ride rides.  Mommy goes back to the room with baby to sleep, and Daddy takes the boys to Disney.

This is in an arcade at the hotel.  The boys thought this was the greatest thing ever.

Birthday gifts from my boys.  The iPad is from Dusty and Jeremiah, the yellow/orange necklace is from Eli and the locket from Silas.  Apparently, Eli was very insistent on his gift.
Birthday cupcakes my in-laws picked up for me that we enjoyed during the fireworks from our balcony.  Yum.

Eli and me during the fireworks.  He told me every so sweetly, "Mommy.  Thanks for taking me to Disneyland.  Otherwise, I'd have never seen these fireworks."  Love him.
Firework fun.

Me and my three angels on my birthday.

Riding Soaring Over California with my two big boys.  This trip, I didn't get to ride a ton of rides with them, but promised we'd get to do something just us.
Being goofy in front of the Cars Land sign.  They're such little hams.
Silas and Dusty on Space Mountain.  I love everything about this boy.

While the big boys were riding Radiator Springs Racers, we took this photo.  Sweet baby boy.
This loaded out of order - but, on the way home.  Can you tell we wore Eli out?!
Mator.
