Little Man, Big Personality

Eli has always been full of personality, but as he is getting bigger and beginning to communicate with his words, it's like falling in love all over again. He is quite the little character and I am constantly laughing at what's coming out of his mouth, whether he's just talking on his own or imitating everything that comes out of Si's mouth. Yesterday on the way home from school, Silas was taking a nap and so Eli and I were talking. Here is part of our "conversation".

Me - "Eli, where is daddy?"
Eli - "Dada wuk."
Me - "Daddy's at work?"
Eli - "Yeeeaah!"
Me - "Where's Silas?"
Eli - "Si nigh nigh."
Me - "Eli, do you love mommy?"
Eli - "No."
Me - "Eli, yes you do love mommy! Do you love daddy?"
Eli - "No."
Me - "Eli, yes you do! Come on, don't you love mommy?"
Eli - "No."
Me - "Do you love nanny?"
Eli - "Yeeeaah!"
Me - "Eli, do you want to go home?"
Eli - "No."
Me - "Eli, do you want to go to the store?"
Eli - "No."
Me - "Eli, do you want to go to the toy store?"
Eli - "Yeeeaah!"
Me - "Do you want to go to the school?"
Eli - "No."
Me - "Do you want to go to Disneyland?"
Eli - "Yeeeaah!"
Me - "Eli, do you love mommy?" [said with much enthusiasm]
Eli - "Noooo."

Little Stinker!

He was so adorable last night. Silas had gone with Grammy and Pappy to pick out his birthday present. Eli was pretty upset when they left and we were trying to distract him. I put some Batman jammies on him and was being really animated about him being Batman. He got all excited, screaming, "Baa - maa". He was going absolutely crazy, running around in circles around the table just giggling and continuing to yell, "Baa - maa!!!" He went in the toy chest and found a Batman mask that is Si's. [Keep in mind, this is the same mask that he found the other morning. I was in the bathroom getting ready and I heard Eli saying, "Si Si, way up." He was next to Si's bed, mask in hand, trying to put it on Silas while he was sleeping and also trying to wake him up.] We were laughing at him, telling him this would be life if he was an only child. He had been upset in the beginning, but I think in the end he loved all the extra attention. Sometimes it's nice to have them one on one, so we can focus on just one or the other.

In any case, Silas has been into Batman for a long time now and is currently all amped up about Star Wars. He saw the movie for the first time the other day and it's the only thing he wants to watch - and he already got a light saver and gun for his birthday. However, after last night, I may have another Baa-maa on my hands!
