Life isn't slowing down, that's for sure.
I love this time of year - football season, the pumpkin patch, the anticipation of the holidays, the {soon to be} time change. Granted, I prefer it with cooler weather and the beautiful fall colors, but it's still magical nonetheless. There's almost an excitement in the air and I so enjoy these times with my sweet boys.
Here's a bit of what we've been up to.
| Watching football, of course. I watch the Saints when I can, but it's not too often that they're on here, so I mostly just track the games on my phone and/or read all the bashing on Facebook {a bit of a rough season so far...} But, I do enjoy watching the Chargers and you can tell JJ loves it too. |
JJ is getting bigger by the second, I swear. One of his favorite things to do is take a bubble bath every day. Don't ask how many entire bottles of shampoo have been poured out as he tried to "make more bubbles" on his own... |
He climbs in the sink any chance he gets. He says he likes to help me "clean"... And, maybe get a sink bath while he's at it. |
Who knew laser tag was so awesome? Silas asked me, "You wouldn't shoot your son, now would ya??" "Umm, heck yeah! BAM! You better RUN!" |
| JJ's first fire drill at school. |
This smile lights up any room. Here, Eli was enjoying a fun paint project at school. I love him. |
So, my baby isn't a baby anymore. I mean, how big does he looks?! And Eli -- he can down a hamburger any day. |
| I enjoyed the boy's Open House at school, seeing all their hard work, looking at their amazing artwork, and even doing some of their worksheets as they "taught" me how. Turns out 1st and 2nd grade are no joke. |
| The cutest first grader on the planet. |
| My three loves at Open House. |
| Silas with his very own Silas that he drew. He said, "Hey mom, I even drew a crooked smile... take a pic of me with myself."{Not sure why he thinks his smile is crooked, but he purposefully smiled "crooked" in this photo!" |
| This made my heart smile. |
Eli's horse, Feddy {oops, he left out the "R"}. I loved the story he wrote to go with it! |
| Silas drew this awesome crow! |
| Eli's proudly showing off his cactus artwork. |
Jake the Pirate and my little ninja. They are rockin' those costumes! Can't wait for Halloween! {Silas' costume had yet to arrive...} |
JJ taking a selfie on the Disneyland train. This is definitely his happy place. |
This is one of my fave photos ever. He was so bashful meeting Jake the Pirate {a.k.a. his hero}. He was THRILLED on the inside, you better believe it! Oh, I'm also convinced they are twins. |
| I finally convinced the boys to ride the Hollywood Tower of Terror with me - my favorite ride.Turns out, they LOVED it!! They, of course, wanted to immediately ride it again. |
With JJ on Flik's Flyers. First time riding a ride "by himself". |
| Real life, my friends. Real life. |
| Silas' AMAZING artwork he drew for Eli when he was sick. |
JJ before church last Sunday -- what? What's not normal about this?! |
| Oh, he also loves "punkins" |
Silas' costume finally came in. Classic. Minecraft Steve, if you weren't sure! Goodness knows, I wouldn't have known what Minecraft was a year ago. Now I see everything in pixels. |
We built a tent/fort the other night. These are my favorite kind of memories as a kid and I hope it will be for them one day too. |
JJ had his first field trip yesterday. So big, and yet still so small. It was so fun having a little one on one time and just watching the joy in his eyes. Everything is bigger than life at this stage, which is why I enjoy it SO much. |
| He only rode the train three times. |
Silas has been working SO hard on his cursive. Pretty impressive, no? So glad our school is still teaching it! |
Another "real life" photo.
The big boys are genuinely enjoying one another's company - they truly are the very best of friends - and JJ is being a mess in the sink again.
And now, my friends, prepare yourself... for the cutest version of the Pledge of Allegiance EVER.
Feel free to thank me :)
