things i love monday.
Mondays. People always hate on Mondays.
So, in keeping with my promise to keep up with my blog, I decided to begin some "themes" if you will. Since there's almost always a reason why Mondays can go horribly wrong, I thought it'd be fitting to think of the positives. So, here goes...
Things I love Monday: {in particular, things I love about this Monday}
1. Veggie Booty: One word - delish. I adore this stuff. Shamelessly, I could sit down and eat an entire bag in one sitting if I allowed myself the pleasure. Cannot. get. enough. Why do I love this today? Well, because it was my lunch. I made Dusty and the boys a lunch but of course didn't take the time to make myself one. As I was running out the door {okay, not literally... but hurrying!}, I grabbed the bag out of the pantry that I got on sale at Target yesterday for $1.39. Pure awesomeness.
2. Beyblades: Best investment ever. These keep the boys entertained for hours. For days on end. They think these are the best things ever. Both Silas and Eli have been talking about Beyblades for awhile now. At some point they stumbled upon the cartoon on Netflix {they know their way around it entirely} and became fascinated. Eli constantly sings the theme song, "beyblades, beyblades, let it rip...." They've been begging...pleading. Well, Mamaw & Papaw were suckers and bought them everything they needed to battle. So, the catchphrase heard 'round my house lately is, "3, 2, 1, Let it RIIIIIP!"
3. Box fans: To put it plainly, IT'S HOT. By far, our hottest week of the summer. Our AC isn't working currently and to be honest, you rarely need AC in San Diego. We've known it was out for some time now, but haven't needed to turn it on. Apparently we just need a $10 part but yeah... we have yet to call to get a repairman out here.
Sooo, today - I am happy for my box fans throughout the house. It's keeping me sane. Otherwise, I'd have to go curl up in the fridge... or go find a pool.
4. Coke Zero: Let's face it - I am thankful for this everyday. It is the love of my life. Or, well...one of them ;) When it's hot, I need soda. You better believe I had mine today!
5. This smile: For 9 weeks I have been waiting for and anticipating a smile. Not that I wanted him to grow up any faster than he already is, but as a mom you give a lot. There's nothing like your little baby looking up at you and grinning ear to ear. Melt my heart into a bazillion pieces. It's like he's saying, "Hey, I know you are my mom and I think you're pretty great. I know I can't tell ya, but I love you. Actually, I adore you. And thanks for feeding me all day, every day. I appreciate it. Umm, can I eat again now?!" At least that's what I imagine him to be thinking! The past week I have been getting lots and lots of smiles and I can't get enough. Smile, baby smile!
And because I cannot end a blog without a few photos... here's a couple a took today of Jeremiah.
