to JJ on your sixth birthday
Oh, my JJ. You are s-i-x! How can it be?
I love you my sweet boy. You have been my little bestie since day one and I couldn't imagine our lives without you in it. You are feisty, you are beyond hilarious, you are joyful, you are full of life. You always keep us on our toes and always keep us laughing. Often it's hard to remember your age, because you talk like you are thirty. You use the biggest words {always in the right context} and are way too smart for your own good. You are affectionately known as our little firecracker. And you literally make my heart explode.
I love everything about you. Your ups, your downs, your BIG personality. I love your freckle covered face and the giant freckle on the palm of your hand. I love your blue green eyes and the dimple on your chin. You were so perfectly created to be JJ and I know God has HUGE things in store for your life. I pray that you take every ounce of energy you have and direct it towards His will and His purpose. You have an inquisitive mind and a way with words that blows me away. I love the gifts that God has given you.
You have had a big year! You finished Kindergarten A, learned to read, and excelled in every area of school. You played your first year of basketball {and loved it!} and began jiu jitsu. You were finally tall enough to ride all the "big" rides at Disneyland. You are exploring your "Youtube career" and love making Youtube videos. You'd like to travel to England one day to meet Dan TDM. Your favorite food is pizza and your bones must be made of chocolate milk and yogurt. You are the best big brother ever and adore your queen Eva. You are growing up before my eyes, sweet boy. I am so proud of you and your mindset today. You and dad had big plans to drive up to Disneyland early, just the two of you, to ride some rides. You woke up in the middle of the night, shaking and miserable with 104 fever. You told me, "I prayed to God to make me feel better for my birthday." I love that. You woke up much better and happy and told me, "It's okay that I can't go to Disneyland. I still get to have my birthday party and it's gonna be the best birthday ever."
I love you, my sweet JJ. Never doubt that. You bring us all life, FUN, and laughter. You are a light in our world. Have the happiest birthday ever.
